Modern Warfare 2 version 1.07 is live
Welcome back. You're a regular here, so why not follow us on Twitter too...
fourzerotwo has just given word that the newest patch for MW2 is live!
The patches for the latest Call of Duty game just don’t stop coming, and that’s definitely a good thing. The last fix got rid of the evil Javelin exploit and glitchers weren’t too happy about that. We’ve also seen some updates to improve the matchmaking online as well.
This update is once again only 15MB, so there is no long wait to get back into the action. So what exactly does this fix? Here’s what Robert Bowling had to say about that on twitter:
PS3 patch just went live! Includes the Akimbo 1887s re-balancing, fix for Prestige hack, & fix for Public “private” Match. 360/PC soon
So there you have it. Another day, another fix. Keep up the speedy work Infinity Ward!

finally no more ghillie people running around with their 1887 akimbo.
Enough with the public beta that started on the 10th November. Give us the finished article now please.
It has been a little surprising that not only did the online of MW2 not build on the developments between CoD4 and now, it also made some mistakes that weren’t made in CoD4! Still, to their credit, they’re sorting it quicker than anyone except Guerilla did with the niggles with KZ2 (which were no-where near as significant as those with MW2).
I love the 1887 they are stupidly overpowered.
Great that they’ve fixed the public ‘private’ match – clan games were a bit messy when other peeps would join in unknowingly!
