Welcome back. You're a regular here, so why not follow us on Twitter too...

Green Day Rock BandWith the success of The Beatles: Rock Band we’re not at all surprised to see the Rock Band treatment being done to other groups. Green Day will be the next band to get their own spin-off version of the popular music-rhythm game.

Announced at the VGAs, you’ll be able to rock out to the band till your heart’s content in 2010.

The game will feature avatars of band members Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool as well as iconic concert locals. In addition, you’ll be able to export all songs to Rock Band or Rock Band 2 so there’s no need to switch out discs.

If you just can’t wait until 2010 to play some Green Day, three tracks from 21st Century Breakdown; “Christian’s Inferno,” “Last of the American Girls,” and “¡Viva La Gloria!,” will be available to download on December 15th.
