This was unexpected. The HK PlayStation Store just updated and it contains LittleBigPlanet Premium Avatars to purchase. Could this be a sign of things to come for other regions? Yes, at least for Europeans.

There are only four Premium Avatars packs to purchase at this point, and they are all LittleBigPlanet related. The first avatar pack is just a basic one with Sackboy, a planet, and a moon, but the others are all based on costumes in LittleBigPlanet. The names may not sound familiar, but you’ll recognize them once you see it.

Pack 1: Sackboy, Craft Earth, and My Moon

Pack 2: Sky, Arrr!, Marvin, and Gloria

Pack 3: Great Blue, Frost-E, Hugo, and Lily Pad

Pack 4: Christmas Tree, Santa, and Giftboy

In Europe the Premium Avatars will be sold for £0.20/€0.25 each and will be released today. About time.
