Pulling off what many saw as a spectacular double-punch coup with the capture of industry mavens Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey from EA, speculation was rife regarding what “existing properties” Activision’s new studio, Sledgehammer Games,  would turn their hand to.

Though not concrete confirmation toward the identity of the mysterious franchise, Sledgehammer’s new website and job listings do go a long way in providing something of an insight as to what it might be.

There are currently ten open positions at the new studio, with jobs ranging from Tools Designer to Office Manager. What’s most intriguing, however, is when you dig into the descriptions of such titles as Level Designer and Lead Online/Multiplayer Designer and such pre-requisites as “Serious passion for Shooters, Console or PC” and “5 years experience working on current AAA multiplayer shooters for current consoles and PC” are found.

We’re going to go out on a wing here and guess Sledgehammer are working on a popular AAA shooter game. Now, what popular shooter franchise do Activision currently oversee?
