Though we like to stay clear of the shady underbelly of the rumour machine here at PS3 Attitude, that doesn’t mean we can’t state the facts and let you guys put two and two together and come up with a spiky-haired speeding rodent.

We’ve already discussed how Project Needlemouse will feature SEGA’s renown mascot, Sonic, on his own. What seems to have come out now, however, thanks to some internet domain name investigations, is that Needlemouse could be in fact Sonic The Hedgehog 4.

Borderlands’ 3rd DLC is huge; raises level cap

After zombies and then Mad Moxxis, Gearbox have announced their next DLC outing for fan-favourite Borderlands.

Entitled The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, the new update not only promises the largest environment yet, there’s also new weapons, new enemies – and something fans have been clamouring for – an increase to the current level cap of 50.

FIFA 10 – Ultimate Team DLC release date

Back in December, EA revealed that the hugely popular Ultimate Team DLC released for FIFA 09 earlier this year will also be coming to FIFA 10. They have now also revealed that it will be released on the PlayStation Store in just a few weeks time, on February 25th.

Bizarre Creations have sent out a video explaining some of the features of their latest racing-game, Blur.

This video, although brief, gives us a taste as to where the game will take us, as well as some hints of a plot. Not unheard of in a racing-game, but we’ll have to wait and see if they can pull it off.

Lego Rock Band patched (again)

Earlier yesterday Lego Rock Band was patched in Europe, bringing the game to version 1.02.

The features seem to be the same as the recent 1.01 patch released several weeks ago, but for unknown reasons it was later withdrawn by the developers leaving some users without the all-important bug fixes.

Studio Liverpool hit with layoffs and cancellations; Sony to restructure

Studio Liverpool, the development team behind the amazing WipEout HD, has been hit with layoffs and project cancellations in an effort of Sony restructuring. The news comes shortly after Studio Liverpool recently merged with Motorstorm developers, Evolution Studios.

While the studio isn’t shutting down for good, the restructuring has forced Sony to layoff and shift members of the development teams along with terminating a number of projects…

And the marketing campaign for God of War III begins! Today Sony announced a partnership with 7-eleven and Mountain Dew to release a very special “Kratos Fury” Slurpee drink.

Starting February and running through into March, these drinks will be available to buy from 7-eleven stores all across the United States.

US PSN Video Content update for January 29th – This Is It!

Topatoi: Pillar of the Skies releases next week

Boolat Games have just announced that the second game in the Topatoi series, Pillar of the Skies, will be released next Thursday (4th February) on the European PlayStation Store. Along with the announcement, Boolat have released a new gameplay trailer, which shows off the new environments of the game, as well as a co-op mode.
