2010 FIFA World Cup game detailed with screenshots
Yesterday EA unsurprisingly revealed that they will be making the new 2010 FIFA World Cup game.
Today, some decent information and a collection of screenshots have all been revealed.
2010 FIFA World Cup will include a brand new online tournament mode as was mentioned yesterday, where you can play one of the 199 teams involved in qualifying. There is said to be a “more sophisticated, faster-paced and responsive version” of the FIFA 10 engine too.
Special Home and Away tactics should mimic “international football by creating strategic, defensive formations for weaker teams playing away” but they will “raise their level of play on their home pitch”.
What sounds quite interesting is that EA Sports say to make the experience even more realistic, the ball will actually travel faster and further when playing at a higher altitude due to less air resistance. Furthermore, players will fatigue faster and their stamina will be challenged too.
The game will include ten official stadiums, release April 27th in North America and April 30th in Europe, and will support seven local players and twenty online in the multiplayer modes.
Sounds very good, but we really need to see it for ourselves. At least we have a screenshot gallery below!
The graphics look pretty impressive we’re sure you’ll agree.
