[UPDATE] God of War III Collector’s Edition leaked thanks to Swedish Retailer

Submitted by on Monday, 25 January 20102 Comments

Pretty much everyone right now is excited for God of War III. With the massive hype train and recently released and mind-blowing screenshots, it is no wonder that people can’t wait for January and February to pass over quickly.

Not so long ago we talked about the God of War III Ultimate Trilogy Edition that carries a heavy price tag, costing UK gamers for example a massive £110.

Well Swedish retailer Webhallen has revealed a special Collector’s Edition that shouldn’t be so hard on the pocket.

Inside there is the game (obviously), PSN vouchers for Phantom of Chaos and Dominus character skins, GOW Arena with seven challenges and three postcards.

There is also a box art included that is full of win:

This will certainly look good on your shelf!

Now obviously because this is a retailer we can’t be sure that all of the information is 100% true, but it looks almost certainly genuine. The real question now is will it release for the whole of Europe, and even across the pond – remember though that North America will sadly not be getting the Heavy Rain Collector’s Edition!

But it does sound like the perfect answer for God of War III fans who want more than just the game, but are not prepared to give away so much of their cash for the Ultimate Trilogy Edition.

SCEE has confirmed to VG247 that the UK will not be getting this Collector's Edition. A real shame for gamers who find the £110 price tag of the Ultimate Trilogy Edition far too expensive.
