fourzerotwo has just given word that a new patch is live! What does it do?

We haven’t had an update in awhile, so this was a pleasant surprise. It’s good to know that Infinity Ward is still trying to make the game as good as it can be (even if they do break it sometimes).

Here are the full patch notes:

- Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
- Fix for “infinite care package” exploit.
- Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
- Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
- Improved player collision removing cases of getting into geometry and ‘elevators’.
- Fixes to prevent various XP hacks.

Infinity Ward is currently working with Sony to identify the cause of the freezing issue that many users have reported after connecting to games. Expect the patch to hit NA later on in the day. We’ll keep you updated. The patch is now available in Europe and North America.
