Next Assassin’s Creed to have multiplayer

Submitted by on Wednesday, 13 January 20103 Comments

Ubisoft have announced via an extremely informative financial report today that, among other things such as a delay to R.U.S.E, there is more Assassin’s Creed coming in FY10-11.

And, this time, it will have an online component.

With Assassin’s Creed II on track to sell 9 million units by March 2010, it’s hardly surprising that “a new episode” is in the pipeline. What is surprising is that they’re pegging on a multiplayer aspect.

What would Assassin’s Creed Online look like? Will it be purely a co-op element, as you and another killer stalk the streets, working off one another toward the common goal of offing someone? Or would you compete for the kill?

Assassin’s Creed Episodes will be a continuation of the Ezio saga and should drop sometime between April 2010 and March 2011.
