Michael Jackson PS3 Bundle announced for Japan

In what could potentially be a great strategic move by Sony, a new PlayStation 3 bundle has been announced that will include the Michael Jackson “This Is It” movie on Blu-ray.

Currently only announced for Japan, the film that’s based on the rehearsals of Jackson’s new comeback tour that never was, will be included with a slim 120GB PlayStation 3 from the 27th of January.

Dan Teasdale, lead designer on Rock Band 2, has popped up over on the official EU PlayStation blog with news of a new software update for the popular music title.

Taking feature requests and comments from the many people who comment on the Harmonix forum “to heart”, Dan is happy to reveal just what new features and requests will be available after you boot up Rock Band 2 the next time you’re getting your rock on.

Speaking to G4TV, Naughty Dog’s co-president Evan Wells has discounted any possibility of future Uncharted games getting the motion controller treatment.

That’s not to say one of the best studios in the world aren’t interested in the technology, they’d just prefer to use it on a new property designed from the ground up with the device in mind.

Today it has been revealed that the British Board of Film Classification has awarded thriller Heavy Rain a 15 certificate for the UK.

In case you need a reminder, this means that legally you cannot go to the shops and buy yourself a copy if you are 14 or below.

Though 2009 might have been a bumper year for the PS3, things were not so rosy over in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Home to one of the world’s largest gaming markets, gaming sales in Japan shrunk by a massive 6.9% compared to the year-on-year sales of 2008.

First Dragon Age: Origins expansion pack “Awakening” to be released in March

Bioware has announced that the first true expansion pack for Dragon Age: Origins, entitled “Awakening,” will be coming to consoles and PCs on March 16, 2010 worldwide.

Of course, you might be wondering what they mean by “first” since there is already a bunch of DLC already released for the game. While “The Stone Prisoner” and “Warden’s Keep” provide more to do, they are just extra quests. Awakening however, offers so much more…

Blue Toad Murder Files Episodes 1 & 2 – The PS3 Attitude Review

After great success with the Buzz! franchise, Relentless Software have stepped into the puzzle and mystery genre with PlayStation Network title Blue Toad Murder Files.

The developers, who are also publishing the game themselves, have divided the title into episodes and right now you can download the first two.

We decided to take the opening iterations for a spin and because it’s targeted towards groups of friends and family, we thought it was a good excuse to bring them along too.
