Rockstar logo e1264405944806 Rockstar shows the PS3 some loveAw, Valentines day must have come early over at Rockstar.  During a recent website Q&A they have hinted that this year will be a good year to own a PS3 as they intend to show it some love.

There was a time when the GTA series and Sony went hand in hand, but recently Microsoft’s more than ample wallet seemed to have put a spanner in the works of that relationship.

Were you as fed up as we were with the lack of DLC the PS3 received for GTA4?  Fear not, Rockstar feels our pain.  When quizzed on the GTA4 DLC they had this to say;

“We know that it continues to be an often-asked question – and believe us, we understand the frustration of PS3 owners like yourself who haven’t been able to play any of our most recent releases. All we can say is that we at Rockstar promise to be very good to you with our releases in 2010. Please stay with us and stay tuned!”

Sounds promising doesn’t it?  Hopefully some form of exclusive Red Dead Redemption or L.A Noire DLC is on the cards – come on Rockstar you know you want to.

If you’re a tad more cynical you might wonder whether this change of heart is anything to do with the PS3’s surge in sales over the last few months, but either way it sounds like we are in for some interesting announcements across 2010.

    I’m not particularly interested in anything Rockstar are doing this year. I was initially blown away by GTA IV, but when I’d completeted the story, I was left thinking, “Eh? Is that it?” I traded it in before the trophy patch, and couldn’t give a toss about the DLC.

    I can’t stand cowboys or anything to to with the Wild West, so Red Dead Redemption is a non-starter. Not particularly fussed about LA Noire, either.

    I MIGHT be interested in Agent, but I’ll need to see and hear a lot more about it before I decide.

    So, generally speaking, everything Rockstar are currently working on is either very low on my list at the moment, or not on it at all.

    I’m not a massive fan of the wild west but I think red dead is looking pretty damn good. Need a bit more info on LA noire though.

    I’m not a fan of Rockstar either. Their idea of game design these days is about as innovative as a chinese mmo.

    Its interesting to hear peoples opinions on Rockstar, keep them coming! Surely someone must have a bit of love!
