Ubisoft promise a busy 2010

Color Institutional logo RGB Ubisoft promise a busy 2010Ubisoft have jumped head first into 2010, saying that they have a stack of unannounced games that they are confident will be out by the end of the year.

But with many of their 2009 releases appearing on other platforms, what does this all mean for PS3 owners?

Ubisoft have released a plethora of games for the Nintendo Wii over the last couple of years, but it seems that bubble may have burst.

This bodes well for PS3 owners though, as Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot has already publicly stated that they will be refocusing their development resources onto Sony and Microsoft machines.

Murray Pannell,  Ubisoft’s UK marketing director had this to say;

“With a strong line-up of great games and a commitment to pushing our franchises into the broader entertainment arena, we are confident 2010 will be a stellar year for us… [2010 will be] a very competitive time with most major publishers scheduling some pretty big titles.

We’re still to announce a number of significant titles that we know will arrive in the next 12 months, so rest assured there will be a great mix of established franchises and new IP that will hit across the range of current generation consoles.”

This is quite exciting stuff, as Ubisoft has some cracking franchises that we are dying to see again.  Just off the top of our heads we can think of:

  • Driver
  • Beyond Good And Evil
  • Hitman
  • Ghost Recon
  • Rainbow Six

Another thought for you all – imagine Red Steel 2 using the much more precise Sony motion controller.

We say bring it on!
