Xbox Live is “more juvenile” than PSN

Welcome back. You're a regular here, so why not follow us on Twitter too...

MAG Beta 5 Xbox Live is more juvenile than PSNIn what we consider to be a bold (or crazy) move, Ben Jones of Zipper Interactive has made the comment that he thinks the crowd on Xbox Live are more juvenile than those who frequent the PSN.

Is there any substance to his statement, or is this just a clever way to get people talking about Zipper Interactive’s latest game – MAG?

I think it’s fair to say that we have all come across a bit of bad behaviour when playing online.  Some people relish the banter, while others will simply stick to playing with friends only.

Ben Jones has made it clear which side of the fence he is on, and it’s mainly down to the bad things that are being said over Xbox Live.

He went on to comment further, saying;

“I actually consider Xbox Live the more juvenile of the two”

He then tried to dispel the stigma that nobody talks to each other when playing on PSN;

“I think the PlayStation audience definitely fits more to our game.

As we saw in the beta we’ve got an audience that’s willing to communicate and willing to organise and structure, and help other people to play the game.

That’s the most remarkable thing that I saw in the beta – random people helping other players along to try and familiarise themselves with this really cool experience.”

While Team Attitude admires your honesty Ben, we can only imagine the online flame wars that this is going to cause.

So what’s your opinion?  Do you use Live, PSN or both?  We would love to hear about your experiences.

    isn’t it the case that more adults buy PS3’s for themselves first then for the kids where Xbox is the other way round. And this is simply because of pricing and first off the blocks.
    Kids get an xbox, their friends then want one.
    meanwhile parents with a bit more sense and money (so probably better educated with smarter, more deserving kids) get the PS3.
    and bingo. smarter chat!

    It’s an odd one, but in my experience live can be a bit testing on the old patience. Way too
    many F bombs being dropped

    I feel I should apologise for the second half of my comments in the first post. I think it is more a matter of the age of the kids.
    But upon reflection the kids I come across in mp games are mostly fairly decent.
    I’ve never been on xbl so can’t really compare.

    Never been on XBL but the impression (i get) throughout the net and various blogs i frequent is that the above observation is spot on
