Next Assassin’s Creed to be based in Rome, online Assassination mode

Some time ago we saw Ubisoft officially announce another Assassin’s Creed, despite the fact that the second game has only recently been released.

Speaking to investors, the company has released some small new details on the game.

It will be based in Rome with protagonist Ezio, and the multiplayer addition will come in the form of online assassination mode amongst others.

Apart from that, all they would say is that the multiplayer will be “innovative” – ¬†well we’ll have to make our own minds on that one when it releases.

No release date or even a rough time frame has been given for the game’s launch. We just know that it will arrive by March 2011.

It is said to follow on from Assassin’s Creed II, making it a sequel rather than just another entry in the franchise.

Speaking of Assassin’s Creed II, the second downloadable episode is due out this month!
