Bad Company 2 to become EA’s fastest selling demo?
If demo download figures could be used as a valid measurement of anticipation for an upcoming release – then you guys are getting pretty hot under the collar for Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
It’s not very often that we get a press release trumpeting download figures for a demo, but EA are keen to champion the massive two million downloads which Bad Company 2 has notched up in only five days. According to EA, this takes the game close to being the “fastest downloaded demo in EA history.”
Patrick Bach, Senior Producer on Battlefield sees this as incontrovertible evidence that you lot love the Battlefield franchise:
“This massive rush to experience the game early is proof positive that action gamers are looking for more. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 delivers on every front. This is intelligent, strategic warfare that our competitors simply cannot replicate.”
Battlefield will undoubtedly be one of the essential multiplayer experiences of 2010, but PS3 Attitude plan to return to this subject soon after its release so we can judge once and for all whether two million of you demo downloaders are really excited or not.
The other question that must be asked: what is the current fastest downloaded EA demo?
