Europe cannot get enough Gran Turismo

According to figures direct from Polyphony Digital, the Gran Turismo series has sold 55.45 million copies worldwide. Interestingly, Europe makes up 44% of this total with a remarkable 25 million copies sold.
It seems Europeans just cannot get enough of the real-life driving simulator.
Gran Turismo 3 A-spec is the watermark for the series with 14.89 million sales worldwide, but with the long anticipated fifth installment on the horizon its record may be under threat.

ROFL! Well, given the series’ sales so far, it’s not out of the question to suggest Polyphony have been living off their earnings and just driving fast cars for the last few years. Although I hope that’s not the case
