EyePet 2 announced
George Fornay, president of Sony Computer Entertainment France has disclosed to Gamekyo that EyePet 2 is in production and that it is hoped it will be hitting shelves this year.
How it will differ from the first game is unknown at this point, but it is entirely likely that it will produce the same “aww, he’s so cute!” reactions which the first game had.
EyePet is a virtual pet-sim which has a simian-like creature live in an on-screen version of your living room. It uses the PlayStation Eye to capture the scene and the little monkey interacts with you just as a pet would.
Despite the technology being impressive and the pet being ridiculously cute, EyePet had limited longevity. Nevertheless, we’re curious to see what London Studios can come up with this time.
Last week, it was reported that Sony expected to have 10 titles support it’s Motion Controller before the year’s end and included in that list would be ‘pet raising games’.
Would you bet against EyePet 2 featuring motion sensing?
