Final Fantasy would be ‘too exhausting’ with motion control
If you were holding out for Final Fantasy XIII to join the likes of LittleBigPlanet and Resident Evil in adopting motion control then you will be waiting a while.
Yoshinori Kitase, Final Fantasy’s producer told CVG that playing a game as long as Final Fantasy would be “too exhausting” for gamers.
While the controllers may interest Kitase, the thought of waving an arm for a 100 plus hours is something the producer finds off-putting.
“These new type of controllers are very interesting, but we’re not sure that people would like to spend up to 100 hours playing a conventional Final Fantasy title with these types of controllers”.
“It could be too exhausting if you were always swinging a sword around for battles. So we will have to see what the future holds”.
We have to agree to some extent; with the level of grinding necessary in Final Fantasy games our arms would end up falling off.
