All Japanese tracks cut from Final Fantasy XIII

Submitted by on Wednesday, 24 February 20103 Comments

It has been revealed that Square Enix has cut both of the Japanese music tracks from the English version of Final Fantasy XIII.

We all knew that “My Hands” by Leona Lewis was going to replace the Japanese theme “Kimi ga Iru Kara”. What we didn’t know was that another song titled Eternal Love was going to be cut as well.

It appears that Serah’s theme will be replacing Eternal Love. This track actually has English lyrics, so it makes sense. According to the report, Serah’s theme actually fits the scene better anyway. That’s definitely good to know.

What do you think about Square Enix’s attempt at appealing to gamers outside of Japan? Do you mind if tracks from the original release aren’t in the game anymore? With all the space provided on a Blu-ray disc, couldn’t there be an option to choose the song that you prefer to hear?
