minis e1265054304152 It is mini month on the European PlayStation StoreFebruary is always the shortest month of the year, and so SCEE are cutting the price of some of their minis in Europe – we’re sure the month being small has nothing to do with the decision though.

Sony’s answer to the success of the small games on the Apple iPhone and iPod touch were recently supported under the PS3 firmware update 3.15.

This meant you could buy a game that you could play both at home on the big screen, or outside on the small screen on the PSP.

It seems the company are determined to make them a success by making varying amounts of reductions on a select number of titles.

The first games on reduction, and their prices, are as follows…

  • Fieldrunners €4.99/£3.99 now €3.99/£3.49
  • Kahoots €2.99/£2.99 now €1.99/£1.74
  • Vempire €2.99/£2.99 now €1.99/£1.74
  • Breakquest €2.99/£2.99 now €1.99/£1.74
  • Pinball Fantasies €4.99/£3.99 now €3.99/£3.49
  • Bloons €3.99/£3.49 now €2.49/£1.99
  • Mahjongg Artifacts: Chapter 2 €2.99/£2.99 now €1.99/£1.74
  • Dracula – Undead Awakening €2.99/£2.99 now €1.99/£1.74

These offers run from Thursday the 4th, to the 18th of February. There will also be another sale after so if you are planning on buying a mini and none of those above interest you, we suggest waiting for just over two weeks before deciding on your purchase.

SCEE also promise free minis game downloads, wallpapers, and more so we’ll keep our eye open for those.

Plus, if you want a free PSPgo and PlayStation Network vouchers, enter this competition and correctly identify eight games.
