Exclusive: No Fuss Reviews donate over £4,000 to charity
Founded in February of 2008, No Fuss Reviews was created by Matthew Riches from the quaint town of Ipswich, UK with the sole aim of providing quick score-only reviews. The idea was born after much frustration from other bloated advert heavy video game websites and how difficult it was sometimes to simply see a score out of 10 for any given game.
As you may know, we at Attitude Towers also take a different view on reviews and review scores, so we’ve watched No Fuss Review with some interest, but the best news is yet to come.
The website was always created with the reader in mind, and direct feed back from visitors have led to the presentation and functionality of the site today, including a dedicated ‘Accessibility View’ designed especially with screen readers, such as those used by the visually impaired.
The most important thing about the website however is that it is non-profit, every penny made over and above the operating costs are donated to video game related charities an ethos strictly mandated by Matthew Riches.
Today No Fuss Reviews employs 10 part-time game reviewers and since February 2008 have generated donations totalling £4,000.
“Income has been achieved by using a combination of Google adverts and buy buttons that use the Amazon Affiliate Scheme. With page views currently averaging around 10,000 a day thanks to traffic sources ranging from review indexes and social networking, No Fuss Reviews is rapidly becoming a trusted review source that by and large slips under the radar thanks to it’s simplistic and unobtrusive strategy”
“No Fuss Reviews would also like to take this opportunity to thank every one of our readers in making this possible, let’s all keep on gaming!” – Matthew Riches, No Fuss Reviews
We at PS3 Attitude wish Matthew and the team at No Fuss Reviews the very best for the future – they’ve certainly made an impressive start!
