Today the US PlayStation website received an unexpected revamp with a brand new cleaner look.

The old dark black site that we have become used to has now disappeared in favour of a brighter grey feel which is more akin to its European counterpart.

So far we have to say that we’re impressed with it, and the website feels a lot more inviting.

It will even tell you how many of your friends on your PSN account are online at the top of every page, although this doesn’t appear to be working right now.

The forums are also offline so we will have to wait and see if there is any change there.
