Valve isn’t in a position to develop for PS3
Recent words from Chet Faliszek, the writer behind the Left 4 Dead games suggest that Valve still lack the enthusiasm to develop for the PS3.
So far, Valve’s only contribution to the PlayStation library is a dodgy port of their supremely good The Orange Box. According to Faliszek, they do expect to develop for the PS3 in the future but only once they’re in a position to “support it in the right way.”
The subject was raised during an interview with Edge:
“Before we do anything on the PS3 we need to be able to support it in the right way, but we’ll look at it, and I’m sure down the road we’ll do it.”
Faliszek’s comments give us hope that we’ll be getting some Left 4 Dead action sometime in the future, but regretfully it’s unlikely to be anytime soon.
