Bad Company 2 tops the UK charts: a lot of demo downloads must mean a lot of anticipation
Last month, EA were behaving very braggartly, crowing that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was about to become their most downloaded demo. The Bad Company 2 demo has been an astonishing success with it being downloaded over three and half million times. Patrick Bach, Senior Producer on Battlefield heralded the “massive rush to experience the game” as being indicative that “action gamers are looking for more.”
We had our doubts; it’s only a free demo after all. Well the figures are in and Bach can rub them in our doubting faces. Bad Company 2 has topped the UK charts and it shows once and for all that demo download figures are indeed a valid measure of anticipation for an upcoming release.
