Explore Gotham in 3D with Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY edition

Submitted by on Thursday, 4 March 20103 Comments

Batman: Arkham Asylum will be getting the Game of the Year treatment, available March 26th, 2010 across European and PAL territories. What makes this edition so special is the inclusion of six new challenge maps along with the option of playing in 3D.

Now we know you’re probably wondering why you would want this feature when you don’t even have a 3D capable TV or even the glasses. Well, you’re in luck…

The Game of the Year edition is being made with TriOviz 3D technology. This type of technology allows for everyone to experience the joys of 3D. Both standard and high definition televisions will be able to output 3D and the game comes packaged with a pair of 3D glasses.

Sounds like a win-win situation to us. Although we haven’t experienced the quality of the technology ourselves, we don’t expect it will be on the same level as Avatar.

There is no added fuss trying to configure your console either. Simply turn the play-in-3D option on from the main menu and you’re set.
