God of War 3 Birmingham Launch

Submitted by on Monday, 22 March 2010No Comment

God of War 3 was released on Friday, resulting in Sony sending out people with branded t-shirts and tents to get the word out to as many people as possible.

We managed to send someone along to check it out.

While there, we managed to take a few photos and get some footage. Check out the video at the top and the flickr account linked at the bottom, and if you haven’t already, check out our review!

Once more the tent returned, along with the screen and comfy chairs. But this time, instead of just playing the game, there was a challenge.

"Must... keep... looking..."

Using one of the challenges unlocked after beating the game, if someone could keep the number of enemies below 50, for 90 seconds, they were entered into a prize draw to win an exclusive limited edition model of Kratos.

The challenges also served a dual purpose. While showing off the game, it also gathered interest with the possibility of prizes, and who doesn’t love prizes?

For everyone else, there were free double-sided posters of Kratos being given out, some of which we will be giving out in future #psfreeattitude competitions!

"So, who's the dude with the swords?"

The tent certainly served it’s purpose. For some people, it helped cement the decision to buy the game, for others it inspired them to buy it even if they hadn’t previously planned on it.

In any case, a great day was had by all, and we’d like to thank the guys manning the tent, as well as all the staff from Gamestation.
