God of War Collection dated for PAL region

Submitted by on Monday, 22 March 20103 Comments

Over on the EU blog, Sony have confirmed that the God of War Collection (which was released in North America on November 17th), will finally be coming to the PAL region at the end of April, and cost €39.99/£24.99.

Specifically, the Collection will be released on April 30th in the UK, Ireland, Germany and Austria; April 29th in Australia and New Zealand; and April 28th in the rest of the PAL region, so everyone should be able to get hold of it by the month’s close.

The God of War Collection features the original, classic PS2 games of the series, God of War and God of War II, on one Blu-Ray disc. Both games have been fully remastered in HD, run at 60 fps, and naturally feature trophies (including two platinums – one for each game).

Also announced was the God of War Trilogy, which will include a copy of the God of War Collection, along with a copy of the incredible God of War III, and will be available on the same day as the standalone Collection. This edition is clearly aimed at newcomers of the series, and will be priced at a fairly reasonable €89.99/£64.99.

It may be coming to the rest of the world over five months after its original release in the US, but it’s still good to know that it is finally coming, and we certainly cannot wait to play it.
