MTV Games and Harmonix have announced that Green Day: Rock Band will launch worldwide on June 8th, 2010. Naturally, there will be a variety of purchasing options although to much surprise, the game is not going to be bundled with any instruments.

The standalone title will be available for the standard MSRP of $59.99. There is also a Green Day: Rock Band Plus option which special packaging, an export code, and six Green Day DLC tracks. This edition will be available for $69.99.

Green Day: Rock Band will feature 47 hit songs from the popular band including “Brain Stew,” “Jaded,” “Hitchin’ a Ride,” “American Idiot,” “Wake Me Up When September Ends” and “Boulevard of Broken Dreams.” They are also all exportable so you can play them in either Rock Band 1 or 2. The game will also allow you to unlock exclusive interviews and other memorabilia from the bands history.
