Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom has a look that is reminiscent of Team ICO games. The latest trailer and screenshots reveal what could be a very beautiful and unique experience.

Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom is the latest game developed by Game Republic. These are the same people that made Folklore and Dark Mist.

While comparisons to The Last Guardian will be inevitable, based on the trailer it doesn’t seem like Game Republic is trying to evoke the same feelings as Ueda-san’s upcoming masterpiece. It’s not like there aren’t clear differences between the two in terms of story and gameplay. The aesthetics are similar to what you would find in a Team ICO game but it has the quirky unique style found in Folklore. Needless to say, this game looks pretty awesome.

Namco Bandai recently announced that Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom is expected to arrive this summer. If this game wasn’t on your radar, it definitely should be. Check out the screenshots below.
