United Front Games wants to deliver the ultimate kart racing experience on the PS3. The developers have confirmed that the game will now feature split-screen support for up to four-players.

Split-screen gaming is a rarity this generation. With online gaming being so prevalent, many developers don’t think it’s necessary to add local multiplayer features. For kart racing games though, playing with friends is a must have component.

United Frot Games realized this and decided that four-player slit-screen was the way to go. Don’t forget that ModNation Racers also supports online play for up to two-players. Could this be the ultimate kart racing game with infinite replay value? We’ll have to wait and see.
