Monkey Island 1 & 2 special editions coming to PSN

Submitted by on Thursday, 11 March 20104 Comments

LucasArts have finally stopped neglecting PlayStation owners by confirming that the upcoming special edition for The Secret of Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge will be coming to the PSN. I know what you’re thinking; what about the special edition for the first game that Xbox360 and PC owners have been enjoying for months? LucasArts have announced that it will also be coming to the PSN. Happy days.

The news was announced at the Games Developers Conference in San Francisco. Getting the legendary graphic adventure series over to the PSN is a great coup by Sony. We are looking forward to reliving Guybrush’s bungling pirate tales of battling with mighty ghost pirate LeChuck with his bolshy female companion Elaine athis side.

The remastered games come with high-definition graphics, remastered sound, full voice acting, an in-depth hint system and the ability to switch between the original and revamped artistic styles. Guybrush will be controlled by the thumbstick so there will be no awkward mouse movements on a joypad.

Let the spitting contest begin.
