Regular readers of PS3 Attitude will know that we are strongly in favour of parental control and common sense when it comes to children and video games.

The general consensus is that if a game has an age rating on it, only children of that age and above should be playing it – but is that divide always so black and white?

Should parents be allowed to judge whether or not their child can handle material which has been rated as unsuitable for their age bracket?

PS3 Attitude has invited two parents in to discuss their different views on video games.

2K Sports won’t have an NHL game this year

2K Sports will not be releasing its NHL franchise this year.

Instead, the company has revealed that they’ll be having a year off to work on improvements. The idea is that they’ll come back in betting shape to tackle their rival from EA in 2011.

Here’s some news to get you excited. GameTrailers TV has revealed that their latest episode which airs on Thursday will reveal a brand new “surprise” sequel to a Sony franchise.

This follows host Geoff Keighley’s teasing of an announcement shortly on his Twitter after last week’s show that was dedicated to PS3 exclusive God of War III.

New evidence has emerged that Sony are planning to name its new motion sensing controller as “PlayStation Arc.” The latest evidence comes via Siliconera, who spotted that Sony Computer Entertainment Japan had filed a trademark for the title.

Sony regularly file trademarks with little intention of using them but there appears to be substance behind this speculation.
