Relive real tournament matches in 2010 FIFA World Cup game

A brand new feature has been announced for the 2010 FIFA World Cup game that releases next month.

The free addition called The Coca-Cola Zero Story of the Finals will enable players to relive moments from the real World Cup in the game soon after they happen.

Executive Producer Kaz Makita explains:

The hopes and dreams of nations will rise and fall throughout the 2010 FIFA World Cup Final and within hours after the real matches have occurred our development team will re-create the storylines in our game and provide fans the opportunity to replay and, perhaps, change the outcome – virtually.

Gamers will face the same challenges that the real football players face on the pitch and this service will also extend to the qualifying stages – with no word yet if Henry’s infamous handball will feature – and also the 2006 finals.

In theory it sounds like an excellent addition to the game, but it’s hard to judge at this stage just how good it will play in reality.

2010 FIFA World Cup releases in North America on April 27th, and the 30th of April on Europe.
