Famitsu has become an iconic gaming institution.  Whether you like it or not, when they comment people listen with great interest.

They have recently listed their top thirty most wanted games – and Sony has done very well.

Despite missing out on the top spot, games on Sony Platforms go on to take sixteen of the thirty places Рwith Final Fantasy Verses XIII coming in second.

Here is the list in full;

  1. Dragon Quest X (Wii)
  2. Final Fantasy Versus 13 (PS3)
  3. Ni no Kuni (DS)
  4. Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 (DS)
  5. Final Fantasy XIV (PS3)
  6. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (PSP)
  7. Pokemon (Generation 5) (DS)

Whilst Sony was always going to score well against Microsoft in Japan, it’s good to see them being held in such high regard – especially against Nintendo.
