RPG fans rejoice! NIS America has announced that Trinity Universe is coming to North America and Europe this June!

2010 is turning into a great year for RPGs on the PS3. The long RPG drought that once tortured gamers is thankfully over.

Trinity Universe is a PS3 exclusive RPG that features characters from the Disgaea and Atelier series. Unlike most of the games released by NIS, this game is in 3D and does not use sprites. We finally get to see a Prinny in 3D, dood!

Nippon Ichi Software, Gust, and Idea Factory have joined forces to bring an all-new hardcore RPG. Trinity Universe combines the characters of the Disgaea and Atelier series together in an original world setting. Players will take on the role of either a male main character or a female main character. Both of these characters have their own original story with many guest appearances. The game will be in full 3D with beautiful anime style artwork.

Let’s hope that Trinity Universe is better than Cross Edge.
