The Next Call of Duty game revealed

Submitted by on Friday, 30 April 20102 Comments

Treyarch has officially revealed the name and release date of its next Call of Duty game.  Say hello to ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops’.

In keeping with Call of Duty tradition, the game is set for a November release – the 9th to be precise.  Further information is scarce, but as we have previously reported, GTTV will be showing the official trailer tonight.

Of course, there has been plenty of speculation about this game already, such as the game will take place in various times in history, from World War II to up to present day.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops website has also gone live but at the moment there is only a blog post welcoming people with the following message;

“We at Treyarch are excited to reveal our latest development – Call of Duty: Black Ops! Be sure to head over to as more details begin to unfold! Follow @JD_2020 and @Treyarch on Twitter for the latest news & discussions regarding Black Ops.”

With all the furore surrounding Infinity Ward, it’s easy to forget about Treyarch.  Whilst their games have never been as popular as the Modern Warfare franchise, they are by no means bad – a point that players of the zombie mode from Call of Duty: World at War can testify to.

So the fight is on – Call of Duty: Black Ops Vs Medal of Honor, fight!
