Ex GRIN devs start up Might and Delight

Submitted by on Monday, 19 April 2010One Comment

Former members of the now defunct Swedish-based developers GRIN have started up a new studio named Might and Delight.

GRIN closed its doors last year following cash-flow problems which came from “too many publishers delaying their payments.”

Might and Delight main goal is to continue “creating remakes of classic games.”

There have been no announcements yet as to what the team will be working on, but a spokesperson described the company’s vision:

“It’s no secret we love retro. Our ambition is to continue doing what we started with Rearmed. Small, fresh games with strong old school flavour.

We are here to repeat our former success! It’s no secret that Might and Delight loves retro. We adore the delicate simplicity found in many old games. Our goal is to create experiences that looks to that simplicity while providing something fresh and accessible!”

GRIN’s final few years saw them release a series of disappointing titles such as Bionic Commando, Wanted: Weapons of Fate and Terminator: Salvation. But we hope Might and Delight are able to return to the high standards they set with Bionic Commando: Rearmed and Ballistics.

Are you glad to have the men behind GRIN back? If so let us know below, and tell us what classic games you would like to see them remake…
