F.E.A.R 3 revealed

Submitted by on Friday, 9 April 20102 Comments

Good news for fans of terrifying killer children, as F.E.A.R is set to make a return – but this time under the direction of horror legend John Carpenter.

The game – dubbed F.3.A.R – sees the return of Alma Wade, who this time around is pregnant.  The F.E.A.R team are trying to hunt her down and kill her before she gives birth to the kind of thing you really wouldn’t wrap in swaddling.

The game will feature both single player and co-op modes – playing as lead character Point Man and his ghost brother Paxton Fettel.

PC Zone has had some hands on time with the game and had the following to say;

“The ways in which each character works alongside the other is undeniably classy. Because Fettel is dead and Point Man still has blood pumping they can each see different things.

There’ll be visions, messages and scares that one character can see that the other will remain blissfully unaware of.

F.E.A.R 2’s action was fairly frenetic, but in terms of sheer on-screen mayhem F.E.A.R 3 has it trumped”

It also turns out that the cutscenes and story have been checked over by John Carpenter – the man behind horror films such as The Thing.

The best bit though has to be the fact the franchise is now set up for at least two more games – we are getting F.3.A.R, next will come F.E.4.R, followed by 5.E.A.R!
