The Fight: Lights Out dev talks PS Move
John McLaughlin has been speaking about his experiences with PlayStation Move. McLaughlin is a producer on upcoming street brawler, The Fight: Lights Out. He believes that Move will allow players to “throw punches with total precision”. Players are also expected to get into the thick of the action – this means none of that flick-of-the-wrist nonsense.
The Fight was originally showcased at GDC under the working title “Motion Fighter”; it’s still in the alpha stage of development. The team has conducted “a ton of motion capture” to make sure that players can throw jabs, hooks and uppercuts any way they like.
Check out McLaughlin’s developer diary below.
Players can approach fights whatever way they like; if they punch like a girl, they can take the dirty route and use their elbows, pull at ears and give their rival a glesga kiss. Nice.
It’s not all about offence. With the PlayStation Eye’s head tracking features, players can duck and weave enemy punches.
One thing is for certain, The Fight: Lights Out will get you fit. We’re tired from just watching people play the damn game.
