Monkey Island 2 Special Edition comparison pictures

Submitted by on Wednesday, 7 April 2010No Comment

New comparison screenshots for Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck’s Revenge have been uploaded onto the game’s official facebook page. It’s looking spiffing great.

The new screenshots show (mighty pirate) Guybrush on Scabb Island; the first has Guybrush on the beach at the beginning of the game approaching some pirates around a campfire, and the second is the famous “how much wood can a woodchuck chuck” scene.

The Special Edition is – as expected – much sharper and clearer; but neither has the changes taken away any of the game’s original charm.

Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck’s Revenge will making its way onto the PSN this summer. As will the remake of Monkey Island 1 which has been on Xbox live and on PCs since last summer – better late than never we suppose.

Keep an eye out for them because they are classic adventure games. Meanwhile check out the introduction to the original Monkey Island 2 at the top of the page courtesy of xstarsprinklesx. Also check out the screenshots below…

"Call that flames?"

"Now that's what I call flames"

"I can't see what anything is in this blur of a room"

"That's better. Everything's sharper. Oh. You're a woman"
