A new trailer has been released for Fatshark’s upcoming western themed third-person shooter, Lead & Gold: Gangs of the Wild West. It’ll be hitting the PlayStation Network in Europe this Thursday with the rest of the world soon to follow. Fatshark promises to give you more “bang for your buck.” They really mean it, check out the trailer above.

With Red Dead Redemption coming soon after, it would be easy to dismiss this as an inferior western game. This would be wrong as Lead and Gold is offering something completely different. This is all about high octane, barrel-blowing multiplayer action.

The emphasis is on teamwork; it uses a synergy system that rewards players with much more strength when they play as a team rather than a lone ranger.

It’s powered by the GRIN Diesel Engine, previously used for Bionic Commando, Bionic Commando Rearmed and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.

Red Dead Redemption may be the game that offers us the definitive western experience, but Lead & Gold might out-do it for spaghetti western-style shoot-out madness. So get your six shooters ready.
