A new mode is coming to the SingStar series! Online Battle Mode will see singers compete against their friends live.

How does it work? It’s simple. Send an invite to a PSN friend, pick a song, and compete for the highest score! There is even support for the PS Eye so you can watch your friend sing really badly.

No word on when it releases, but if you fancy testing this new feature in a beta, you can sign up for it here.

All you need to test it is a European PSN account and the game. But they strictly ask for only users who are willing to give feedback, as they don’t want people who will simply take advantage of a free feature that they can play with early.

We don’t know whether this feature will be free when it officially releases or come with a new version of the title, but we’ll soon find out.
