Blacklight: Tango Down may look like some futuristic war zone but it is actually closer to reality than one might think. Ignition Entertainment have stated that the game is “Science Fact, not Science Fiction.”

Much of the technology featured in the game is actually based on stuff currently in development. The only difference is that in the game, everything is widely available whereas it’s just coming to light in real life.

Dille talks marketing, Move, 3D and the PS3′s ability to do everything

Peter Dille, head of marketing at Sony Computer Entertainment America, has been speaking to the Financial Times about the “it only does everything” marketing campaign. Sony’s research show that customers still struggle to understand just what the PS3 is capable of. This is partly down to the White Room campaign that was too “inclusive” according to Dille. They hope this new approach will go some way to enlighten the masses.

This summer, Sony plan to roll out a patch that will allow the PS3 to produce stereoscopic 3D images, but Tameen Antoniades, co-founder of Ninja Theory – the team behind Heavenly Sword and the upcoming Enslaved – has warned that the quality will be “limited” this generation.
