PS3 to stream Pro Baseball in the US
Sony is in the process of signing a deal which will bring Major League Baseball’s live streaming service to the PS3 – further cementing the tagline ‘it only does everything.’
The deal should be done by the end of the week – so prepare yourselves!
US PSN users will be given the chance to gain access to the existing MLB.TV package, which includes a vast number of baseball games, but excludes local team games and others that are broadcast on TV. As with most things in life, an annual fee will need to be paid.
The senior vice president for the PlayStation Network at Sony Computer Entertainment America – Peter Dille – had the following to say;
“This is more than just a game console. This is a device that is redefining how content is being delivered to the living room.”
We hope this paves the way for a similar European service, which would more than likely involve Football – although we are petitioning for live streaming of caber tossing, or perhaps monkey wrangling.
