Alien Breed: Impact coming to the PSN this summer
Team17 Software announced today that Alien Breed is finally coming to the PS3. If you don’t remember, Alien Breed Evolution (episode 1) was supposed to hit the PSN sometime during the 1st quarter of 2010. It looks like the developers wanted to do more than just a simple port.
According to the press release, Alien Breed: Impact is a “heavily expanded edition” thanks to suggestions from the community. The result should be a better game with new features. So what’s different?
Alien Breed: Impact is now tougher and requires more individual exploration than its predecessor. It features expanded customisability, with upgrades available for weapons that can be purchased using cash looted from corpses and lockers. If that isn’t enough to whet your appetite, there are enhancements to the co-operative gameplay experience for you and a shooting buddy, not to mention the “Prologue” campaign, which takes players through an updated and expanded introduction to the world of Alien Breed.
It’s great to see developers taking feedback from the fans and making improvements to their games. If you’re unfamiliar with what Alien Breed is all about, check out the trailer for the XBLA version of the game:
Alien Breed: Impact is scheduled to release this summer. We’ll keep you updated once more information is available.
