Final Fantasy IX coming to Japan later this month
Final Fantasy fanatics will be able to play Final Fantasy IX in two weeks.
That didn’t take very long. It was only a few days ago when development on the PSN version of FFIX was completed. The next step was to test the game out. As you could imagine, there were no issues.
Square Enix and Sony actually managed to finalize a release date already. On May 20th, Final Fantasy IX will be available in Japan. Hashimoto-san posted a brief video of the game running on a PSP again.
Now all we have to do is wait for the game to release in North America and Europe. Hopefully it won’t take long. According to Shinji Hashimoto, those plans will be discussed at a later time.
Don’t forget that two tracks from Final Fantasy IX can be heard on the Distant Worlds II CD. It’s free to stream, so there is no reason not to listen to it.
