Final Fantasy IX now available in Japan

Final Fantasy IX is now available to download from the Japanese PlayStation Store.
No additional details have been provided regarding the North American release. If the Japanese version is any indication, the wait shouldn’t be too long.
Oddly enough, there is no word on the game coming to Europe. We highly doubt that Square Enix would miss such a huge opportunity. After all, they did release Final Fantasy VII and VIII.
Final Fantasy IX can be purchased from the Japan Store for 1,500 yen. The game weighs in at 1550MBs. Not too shabby for a 4 disc epic.
