North American PS Store Update For May 4th – This is the one with the Stimulus Package

If you haven’t noticed yet, the NA PS Store Updates have been moved to Tuesdays. It’s weird isn’t it? It’s clearly just a day change because the content for this week is pretty meh.

Due to the Spring Fever Sale, Warhawk and SOCOM Confrontation are now $14.99. The Coldfront DLC for SOCOM is also half priced. If you haven’t picked up Warhawk yet, please do. It’s a great game.

Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West is the lone downloadable game this week. You would think that there would be a demo, but that’s just not the case. Instead, the demo for UFC Undisputed 2010 is now available to everyone. Go break some faces!

Everything else is pretty much DLC. The Stimulus Package for Modern Warfare 2 finally hit the PSN for the questionable price of $14.99. There’s free DLC for Record of Agarest War and a bunch of songs for Rock Band.

Call of Duty set to follow Modern Warfare pricing?

After the outrage against Activision for raising the RRP for Modern Warfare 2 last year, it looks like the same will happen with Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Despite MW2s high price tag, the game sold extremely well so perhaps it is not surprising that all signs in the UK at least are pointing for a similar treatment for the next Call of Duty.
