Does anybody remember PlayTV?  This little black trinket essentially turned the PS3 into a DVR - mimicking the features of a Sky+ or Virgin Media box.

Well it didn’t actually set the world on fire and can be found in many retailers for less than twenty pounds – a whopping fifty pound saving on the original RRP.

It seems as though a new one is on the way though – second time lucky?

In an interview with Spong, Sony Cambridge – the guys behind LittleBigPlanet PSP – had the following to say;

“We’re still working on Play TV, Play TV 2. And then we have other guys working on other concepts… ”

With all the other capabilities of the PS3, is this something you would be interested in?
