Threads of Fate Coming to the PSN in Japan
Square Enix isn’t wasting any time. Shinji Hashimoto already announced the next PSone Classic coming to the PlayStation Network in Japan.
Square Enix has been using twitter to find out which games to bring to the PSN. Fans really wanted Threads of Fate and now they’re getting it. It’s that easy!
Unlike FFIX, Threads of Fate is an action based RPG with platforming elements. The story revolves around two main characters, Mint and Rue. When you start the game you are allowed to choose one character to play as. In order to get the full ending you need to complete the game as both characters.
The soundtrack was composed by Junya Nakano. He worked with Masashi Hamauzu (FFXIII) to assist Nobuo Uematsu with the Final Fantasy X soundtrack. Nakano-san also arranged music for Final Fantasy IV (DS) and fully composed the soundtrack for Final Fantasy IV: The After Years.
No release date was given yet, but the wait shouldn’t be too long. Especially if we consider how fast Square Enix managed to confirm, complete, and date Final Fantasy IX. There is no word on an overseas release.
